Networked audio mixing scenario

Scenario

Setup

Benefits

Scenario:

  • Catchbox Hub DSP receiver with Dante® and network connectivity (2 or 4 mic channels)
  • Catchbox microphones (mix of Cube, Clip and Stick as needed)
  • Additional Dante®-enabled audio devices

Setup:

  1. Connect the Hub DSP receiver to power and your Dante® network
  2. On the Hub's screen, navigate to the IN section and pair each microphone, if not yet paired
  3. Use Dante® Controller to route external audio sources to the Hub's Dante® inputs. In the Hub's interface, go to IN section -> Dante®, and enable required input channels
  4. Set up audio mixing - in the Hub's interface go to OUT section -> Dante® and enable one Dante® output channel for mixed audio. Configure the mix to include both Catchbox mics and Dante® inputs
  5. Route the mixed audio - in Dante® Controller send the Hub's mixed output to desired destinations on the network
  6. Hub receiver automatically applies its DSP features including auto EQ, auto level, echo canceller, and feedback suppression to all Catchbox microphones

Benefits:

  • Integration of Catchbox mics with other audio devices
  • Centralized mixing of multiple audio sources within the Hub
  • Simplified audio routing with a single mixed output
  • Flexible input/output configurations to meet various use cases
  • Easy scalability by adding more Dante®-enabled devices to the network
  • Reduced risk of audio issues in complex setups through built-in DSP features such as echo cancellation and feedback suppression
  • Reduced cabling complexity in large audio setups
