Why is there a delay/echo on the audio playback from Catchbox?

Catchbox Plus is excellent microphone system for video conferencing.

However, if you play the audio coming from Catchbox through speakers connected to the computer, you will most likely experience an audio delay. This is called audio latency, and it happens because of the way the audio signal is processed via the computer and played on the speakers.

For the best experience, we advise choosing one of the following setups:

  • Connect the Catchbox receiver to a computer if you’re using Catchbox for video conferencing (where the mic output is audible on online attendees side only)
  • Connect the Catchbox receiver directly to speakers if the output is needed on speakers for local events.
