What is the Hub DSP receiver?

The Hub DSP is the central component of the Catchbox Plus wireless microphone system. It functions as a wireless mic receiver, audio mixer, and DSP engine. With Firmware 2.1 and the updated Hub hardware (CBPLRX004), the system supports external mic and media integration, built-in signal processing, and flexible audio routing for both in-room and video conferencing setups.

Connectivity Options

USB-C
Functions as both audio input/output and power source. Ideal for video conferencing platforms like Zoom, Teams, or Google Meet.

FLEX Ports (FLEX 1–4)

New in CBPLRX004. Configurable as balanced inputs or outputs. Used for connecting analog third-party microphones, media players, or sending out audio to other equipment.

FLEX mode can be toggled in the Hub interface: Global Settings → System → FLEX Mode

Dante® (4x4, with networking module)
Digital audio networking with 4 input and 4 output channels. Ideal for larger systems using ceiling mics, speaker arrays, or AV-over-IP solutions.

3-pin Balanced Outputs (L & R)
For analog audio delivery to in-room systems. Can be used in Mic or Line mode and support mixed or unmixed output.

MIXOUT RCA
Unbalanced analog output for connecting to amplifiers, recording devices, or loudspeaker systems.

AUX IN (3.5mm)
Accepts stereo line-level input from laptops or external players.

Built-in DSP (Digital Signal Processor)

The integrated DSP enables advanced processing with no need for an external processor.

Key features include:

Automixer

Gain-sharing mixer for up to 12 audio channels (Catchbox mics + FLEX + Dante inputs). Activates the microphone of the person currently speaking. It quietly lowers the volume of other microphones to reduce background noise, and maintains a consistent overall sound level when multiple people are speaking simultaneously.

AutoLevel (USB path)

Maintains consistent outgoing volume levels for video calls. Includes sensitivity control via the Hub UI.

Feedback Suppression (In-room path)

Helps prevent feedback in in-room setups using the 3-pin or RCA MIXOUT.
Has a manual toggle via the UI:
MIXOUT → 3-PIN or RCA → Channel Settings → Feedback Suppression: ON/OFF

Audio Processing Paths

Path Output Options DSP Applied
In-room audio RCA, 3-PIN, FLEX OUT, Dante OUT Automixer, Feedback Suppression
Video Conferencing USB OUT Automixer, AutoLevel
