Universal Connectivity

Hub features a versatile range of ports designed for various professional AV setups:

  • USB-C: Provides power and serves as a two-way digital audio interface for your computer.

  • 3-pin balanced MIXOUT (L & R): Primary outputs for room speakers.

  • MIXOUT RCA: An unbalanced output for recording or assistive listening.

  • AUX IN (3.5mm): An analog input for laptops or media players.

  • Dante® (Optional): A network interface for 2x2 or 4x4 digital audio routing.

FLEX ports

Hub features FLEX ports (2 or 4 depending on your model). These can be configured in two ways:

  • FLEX as INPUTS (Bringing Sound In): Use this to add 3rd party microphones or external media players to your Catchbox mix.

    • Mic Mode: Passes through the Automixer (ideal for 3rd party mics).

    • Media Mode: Bypasses the Automixer (ideal for music/video) to ensure your audio isn't accidentally quieted.

  • FLEX as OUTPUTS (Routing Sound Out): By default, FLEX ports are outputs. They offer two ways to send audio:

    • Direct Mode (Default): Each port outputs a raw unmixed signal from a specific Catchbox mic (e.g., FLEX 1 = Mic 1).

    • Channel Cloning: You can clone an existing mix (like your USB or RCA mix) and send it out through a FLEX port to a secondary recorder.

⚠️ Important: FLEX ports operate on a global Master Switch. You cannot have one port as an input and another as an output at the same time.

Built-in DSP & Path Optimization

Hub automatically optimizes audio for different destinations:

  • In-room Path (3-PIN/RCA): Features Feedback Suppression to prevent screeching in local speakers.

  • Video Call Path (USB): Hub manages two way audio to ensure clear, echo free communication on video calls.

  • Global Automixer: Manages up to 12 channels (including Catchbox mics, FLEX inputs, and Dante inputs) to prioritize the active speaker and eliminate background hiss.

Scalability

Wireless Range: Up to 100m / 330ft.

Capacity: Supports up to 10 Catchbox mics (EU) or 6 mics (US). With Radio Sync, this expands to 15 mics (EU) / 9 mics (US) in a single environment.

Remote Management: Fully compatible with the Catchbox Remote Control app and Q-SYS plugins for campus-wide monitoring.
