Maximum Units Per Room

The technology and frequency band of the Catchbox Plus determine how many systems can be used in one room.

Stay within the recommended maximum number of units per room:

  • US: up to 6 Cube or Clip mics
  • EU/globally: up to 10 Cube or Clip mics

Best Practices for Using Multiple Units

To ensure seamless operation of multiple Catchbox Plus units, follow these guidelines:

  • Keep at least 50 cm (20 inches) between the Hub receivers to avoid interference.
  • Ideally, place the Hub receiver in the middle of the room. Consider mounting it on the ceiling using the Hub mounting kit and configuring it as an access point.
  • Remove any obstacles between the microphone and receiver to maintain a strong signal.
  • All Cube audience and Clip presenter mics can be used and spoken into simultaneously.

Things to Avoid

  • Do not stack the Hub receivers on top of each other.
  • Avoid placing the receiver under metal surfaces or near/inside metal objects (such as shelves or racks).

Determine the Number of Microphones Needed

Consider these two factors to decide how many microphones you'll need for your event:

  1. Audience and event venue size: Cube mics are excellent for engaging audiences and facilitating discussions. One Cube mic may be enough in large venues, but additional Cubes can affect the dynamics of the conversation. Multiple Cubes will be easier to pass around in a large venue.
  2. Number of presenters: Clip mics are ideal for hands-free presentations. They attach easily to clothing or can be used with a lanyard. For events with multiple speakers or panel discussions, plan your setup based on the number of presenters and the desired audience interaction. Connect additional Plus Hub receivers and microphones if needed, but do not exceed the maximum number of units per room to avoid signal issues.

Proper setup and consideration of the venue size, number of presenters, and maximum units per room will ensure a smooth and engaging experience for all participants.
