DECT Radio protocol

To enable communication between wireless Cube, Clip and Stick microphones and the Hub DSP receiver, Catchbox utilizes the DECT radio protocol.

DECT stands out as a crucial component of wireless microphone systems for several reasons:

  • it operates under a license-free protocol, making it accessible and cost-effective
  • it ensures secure, high quality, clear and reliable transmission
  • automatic scanning feature identifies available radio spectrum and allocates transmission slots, minimizing the need for manual intervention and reducing maintenance efforts

DECTs automated features contribute to its increasing popularity, particularly in environments demanding seamless communication, such as higher education and corporate settings

It's important to note that DECT frequencies vary by country and region. To ensure compliance to local standards and regulations, we program Catchbox devices separately for different regions.

DECT Standard Frequency bands:

  • Europe: 1.8 - 1.9 GHz
  • United States and Canada: 1.9 GHz
