[Microphone Customization](https://help.catchbox.com/knowledge/microphone-customization?hsLang=en) # Standard or custom design When purchasing a Plus system online, the Design and branding section of the System Designer is where you choose how your microphones will look. Choose standard colors and logo placement or customize the mics according to your university, company, event, or other branding needs.  **[➡️ Standard designs](https://help.catchbox.com/knowledge/customizing-microphones#standard)** ➡️ [**Custom designs**](https://help.catchbox.com/knowledge/customizing-microphones#custom) ### **Standard designs** Standard mic design allows you to choose from one of four pre-set colours per mic and includes a default Catchbox logo placement on each mic.  1. **Assign colors:** Look at your microphone list under *Create your styles.* Next to each microphone, pick one of four standard color swatches: Red, Blue, Yellow, or Navy. Mics don't all have to match, every microphone in your order can have a different standard color. 2. **Review default logos:** Standard designs apply fixed white Catchbox logos automatically. You can review these but no edits can be made. - **Cube:** Catchbox logo on two opposite sides. - **Clip:** A small Catchbox logo on the mic jacket. - **Stick:** A small Catchbox logo on both sides of the mic jacket. ![Standard branding](https://help.catchbox.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Standard%20branding.png?width=670&height=293&name=Standard%20branding.png) ### **Custom designs** **💡 Quick notes** - **Any edit means custom.** If you want to change just the background color on a single mic or swap out a single logo while keeping everything else default, it still counts as a Custom design. - **Bundle-wide customization.** Custom branding unlocks design controls for every microphone in your selected Plus system bundle. You can style all mics identically or give each microphone a unique look. - Once the file is uploaded, it **automatically saves to asset library** inside the logo selector. Click any saved graphic to quickly apply it to other faces or microphones without re-uploading. **⚠️ File size requirements and restrictions** - Images don't have to be a perfect square, but at least one side must measure **700px or larger** (300 dpi recommended). Maximum file size is **5MB. ** - If the uploaded file doesn't meet these requirements, a pop-up alert will tell you **whether the file is too small or too large**. - The printable fabric area on Clip & Stick jackets is much smaller (26 × 30 mm) than for the Cube (120 × 120 mm).  Therefore, we suggest **avoiding tiny text or fine details** on the Clip & Stick. Bold graphics with clean lines print best. ### **Step by step guide** ### **1/3 Set background colors** Adjust the shade in the editor’s side panel under *Cover color*. 1. 1. Click and drag inside the color gradient field or slider to pick a shade. 2. Type values directly into the Hex field or enter individual R, G, and B numbers. **💡Apply to all:** If you want each mic in your system to have the exact same background color, click *Apply color to all mics* directly under the color fields. ![apply color to all](https://help.catchbox.com/hs-fs/hubfs/apply%20color%20to%20all.png?width=298&height=375&name=apply%20color%20to%20all.png) ### **2/3** **Upload and format logos** Click *Change logo* on any mic face preview to open the logo selector pop-up. #### Cube mic - Select a side, then choose to keep the standard logo, click *No Logo* to leave it blank, or click *+ Add New* to upload your own graphic file. - Customize all four sides independently or click *Apply logo at this scale to all faces.* Use the logo scale slider to adjust size in millimeters (up to 120mm for the Cube). ![apply at scale](https://help.catchbox.com/hs-fs/hubfs/apply%20at%20scale.png?width=476&height=314&name=apply%20at%20scale.png) #### Clip & Stick mics - Click *Change logo* on the front face preview and select *+ Add New* to upload your logo file. The printable jacket surface is 26 × 30 mm. - Stick mic has jackets on both sides.  Adding or editing a logo on one side automatically mirrors it onto the other.  ### **3/3 Download or share the design** You don't have to complete the purchase just to share the custom design with someone.
