💡 Auto Level USB Sensitivity optimizes microphone volume sent over USB-C to ensure remote call participants hear clear, balanced speech regardless of presenter volume or distance.

💻 Note: This setting requires an active USB-C connection to a computer. If Hub is not connected via USB-C, this feature remains inactive. 

What is it for and why?

This feature controls how aggressively the Hub DSP boosts or stabilizes speech before sending it to video conferencing platforms like Zoom, Microsoft Teams, or Google Meet. Because remote listeners cannot manually adjust individual speaker volumes in a room, Autolevel acts as an automated buffer between loud and quiet presenters.

LOW
Recommended when microphones are used close to the speaker. It prioritizes the speaker's voice while reducing background or room noise, making it ideal for typical presentations and meetings.

MEDIUM
The balanced factory standard designed to handle everyday volume variations across standard hybrid meetings.

HIGH
Recommended when presenters speak softly or hold the microphone farther away. It increases microphone sensitivity to capture quiet voices, though it may pick up more ambient room noise as a tradeoff.

Why would you need it?

Optimized for remote audio 
In-room listeners can hear presenters directly, but remote attendees rely 100% on what comes through the computer. Setting the sensitivity controls how proactively Hub stabilizes quieter voices before sending audio to your video conferencing platform.

📣Tip from Engineering

If remote attendees report hearing background noises, drop the setting to LOW. If they struggle to hear quiet presenters speaking into one of the Catchbox mics, or holding a mic at a distance, bump the setting to HIGH.
