Will other devices using DECT frequency band microphones affect how the Catchbox Plus works?
You can use both Catchbox Lite and Catchbox Plus for smaller audiences (up to 100 people).
Catchbox Lite operates in the 2.4 GHz spectrum. If there are many other devices using WiFi and Bluetooth (such as smartphones and laptops), dropouts may occur due to the frequency band being overcrowded. In this case, Catchbox Plus would be a more suitable solution.
Catchbox Plus system uses industry-standard DECT technology, which ensures uninterrupted digital signal and operates license-free. Therefore it can be used both for video conferencing, as well as in audiences up to 1000 people - like large conferences and exhibitions.
If you’re planning to set up Catchbox Plus in an environment with many DECT devices around, this may cause difficulties with audio signal stability when using Catchbox Plus. However, it highly depends on the layout of the space and how the devices are distributed across them.
